Our fridge/freezer went off the other day (Hoover HNM2405AA-80) and i think its the thermostat that has went on it.

found a replacement part for it (http://www.espares.co.uk/product/es670638/refrigerator-thermostat?PartTypeId=1727&ManufacturerId=107) but they are out of stock and so are the suppliers.

found it on another site which is similar (http://www.ransomspares.co.uk/parts...ers/hnm2405aa-80/fridge-thermostat/131594.htm) but they are the same with stock.

cant even find one on ebay.

i can find ones for the Hover HNM2205AA-80 which is a smaller version of our fridge (136cm high ours is 149cm high)

has anyone had to do a similar thing and used a part from a similar model.

im thinking of getting a universal thermostat for the short term just to get the fridge/freezer back up & running again untill i can get the 2405 part.

A few sites I checked on named the termostat as on of the causes and to disconnect it and check the connection pins with a multimeter and it should get readings the drop back to or near 0 but I got no readings at all from it
