I know it looks really simple to change a screen out but I'm not exactly sure what screen I should be looking for

The laptop itself has model number VPXEB5CE printed on it
The actual email from sony says VPCEB3X5E

On the site that sells the screens there is a warning saying there are two kinds of laptop screens
CFL and LED the wrong one could brick my laptop

Is there a simple way to tell what screen I have?

heres the screen btw

I suspect someone possibly picked up the laptop by the top of the screen  and the big black/blue mark is where someones thumb put to much pressure on the screen and cracked it

will be an LED type they haven't made the older style ones for a few years now, theres plenty of you tube guides, just be gentle and don't force and clips or connectors, also take the battery out and unplug the adapter.

Have a look on Youtube, there may be a video showing how to change the screen for your model. I did my brothers, there was a label on the back of the screen with the number on it. I got the screen from Ebay for £40.
