Reponse time...

Being a little new to tft monitors...still using crt at the moment, can someone please tell me what sort of reponse time you need for gaming, most monitors I see have 8ms, 5ms or 2ms...i've heard that 5ms is fine for gaming but 2ms is preferable, can anyone fill me in a little and tell me how important these response times are and if I could get away with an 8/5ms response time for current games when I upgrade in the next few weeks?

Pretty fast games, lots of action on screen, don't want any ghosting or anything like that, that's why i'm quite concerned about finding out about reponse time info before I go ahead and buy anything!
