This was my first "photoshoot" per se, as i was asked to take photos on behalf of the all the people who manage, ride and care for the horses.
I don't know much about the place, but Downton Hall is situated in shropshire and is home to over 60 horses, 40 of which were paraded today.
I took around 415 shots, which i have narrowed down to around 40 for your viewing pleasure There is nothing wrong with the other 375, but they are more "functional" than technically brilliant" and serve purely as memory to the event for the participants. 415 shots of the same animal in the same place would eventually get boring
I have split the photos into sections, some are favourites from the parade itself, some are the horses whilst they were in their stables, some are non-related to horses and others are just the surrounding area i wondered round in my free time.
Where i stood for the duration of the parade. Some grumpy old woman up her own **** said "oh, can't you stand somewhere else" so i replied "No, i'm the official photographer, so get out"
A section of the crowd (basically a line or two of people around the enclosure's sides)
And the commentator, Channel 4's Alastaire Down
