Reprogram Renault Laguna Keyfob

Hi, I need to re program my (W) Reg, 2000. Renault Laguna Key fob.

Does anyone know how to do it please as Renault want about £55 to do it. Christ its only the battery that is dying and needs replacing, thats all.

Strange thing is, if i BLIP the key button my car does nothing. BUT if i BLIP it with the drivers door open it works, and locks and unlocks the doors, BUT only whist the drivers door is open..Which is slightly odd. ???

Cannot even find my spare key, god only knows where that is....

check the hand book, it should tell you in there, what to do after you change the battery.
my girlfriends vectra, you put the key in the ignition ,turn it on and press the arm button on the key to re-program it after a battery change

yeah ihad checked that already. Nothing in there. checked web, 100;s of pages of problems etc
