Hello, I have Windows 7 64 Bit Ultimate retail boxed SW installed on the machine in my signature. I want to build a new rig and run the OS software on that machine and run something else on the sig machine - possibly a version of Vista (another retail box I have sittign idle)

How do I go about "re-provisioning" the Win 7 please? Do I have to "retire" the software from the sig machine by some process before I can install on it the new rig? or do I just install it and it will say the license is used elsewhere?

Thanks, KS

As far as im aware, you can just install it on the new PC (once removing it from old one) and just re-activate it. Although, may have to use the automated phone option.

This. No need to deactivate Windows. Just wipe it off the machine it is currently installed on and install it on the new machine. And you may/may not need to use the phone activation service.
