Reputable Data Recovery Service

Hi guys,
so... My HDD has failed and a 24 hour freezer session was unable to resurrect it... Since it has all my uni work, pics, music and DVD's on it I would like to get some recovery...
Anyone got any ideas of a good reputable firm, preferably in or near London?

We use http://www.pcimage.co.uk/ at work, never had an issues and seem very good. Not near london however.

data recovery firms are VERY expensive

try to run some recocery software yourself

I use Recuva from Piriform when i need to get some stuff back. Its helped me restore a mates laptop before. Not sure how well it would pull all of the DVD's back, but its great for pictures and docs.

A possible cause of its failure could be a duff circuit board, the freezer trick would not cure that, but buying a like HDD and replacing the new circuit board onto the old HDD would...

Also, a good recovery program is TestDisk

24 hours in the freezer !? Mate, thats a bit excessive.

Try putting it in a friend's PC (as a secondary drive) and see if you can access the data from there.
