Reputable Garage in Edinburgh

Hi guys, I'm up studying at Heriot Watt uni (in Edinburgh) at the moment and really need to get the car booked into a garage I think.

Less than a month ago my car (Honda Civic 1.6 VTEC 03 reg) was serviced and MOT's and as part of its service it got new front brake pads fitted. (this annoyed me to an extent because if i had known i would have got some greenstuff brake pads but oh well.)

anyway, since then the brakes squeal nearly all the time. Under braking and just when driving normally. It did this before and surely it shouldn't do this now.

So wanted to take the car to garage to have it looked at but don't know any in Edinburgh.

Thought someone might be able to help

I would recommend singing up on www.jdmy0.net and asking there. Does it have to be Edinburgh? PerformanceTek through in glasgow are the best honda specialists in Scotland, Gerry knows his stuff.

Going over to glasgow just to get the brakes looked at on a pretty run of the mill civic seems a bit exesesesive?

Apparently Brown Brothers in Peebles is a reputable Independent Honda Dealer/Garage. I have only heard good things about them.

Have thought about them too, but all I want is to get the brakes quickly checked to determine the cause of the squealing.

I have just got my exhaust checked and fixed at Wright Automotive at Easter Bush near Bilston www.wrightautomotive.co.uk They were polite and honest and only fixed the section that was broken.

yup gerry is just round the back of my workshop in cotton st trading estate. really really knows his vtec yo shizzle though. and a decent guy to boot.

its not THAT far. 40 mins from edinburgh or 8 1/2 if you engage vtec

Only garage I will go to, if for some reason my dad can't do what needs done. Great garage. Bit out of Edinburgh mind.
