Need some help please.

Thinking of getting one of these cases but i will need to use the removable extra hd bracket as i'm getting a couple more hard drives.
I've got one of these motherboards, not sure what the form factor is called but think it is plain atx:

I am aware that the removable hd tray sits beneath the psu.
I need to know the distance from the bottom of the removable hd tray to the top of the motherboard so that i can ensure that it will fit in with my current cpu hs/fan.

Thanks
:)

Thanks Yewen,

It's a freezer 64 pro for my socket 939 setp (in sig). I thought that it would depend where the cpu is placed on the motherboard too, or is it always the same place on all boards?

Thanks.
Can you install hard drives into the 2 external 3.5 bays? If so i can accommodate the drives without needing to resort to the 5.25s.

Thanks. I don't like the idea of lack of airflow to the drives.
Can anyone recommend any cheap 5.35 to 3.25 bay converters that would get around this problem-type which would fit completely internally ie nothing with it's own faceplate?

Thanks for the info. I will be getting a couple of hd anti-vibration rubber blocks for the hard drives from an electrical store which will allow them to fit into the spare 5.25" bays.

How are you measuring hard drive temperatures?

Also what are the drawbacks of having warm drives, do they run slower?

I moved my 2 raptors from the 3.5" bay at the bottom as there were already 2 x 7200.10's there, and there wasn't much cold air getting in. I mounted the 2 drives in my 5.25" bays with active cooling.

You need this.
Scythe Kama Bay Cooler with super quiet 120mm fan
It uses up 3 bays, so you can only have 1 optical.
It only needs 2 screws on either side to secure it.

And these :
Nexus HD mounts

Thanks for the info.

I'll be installing a fan controller and one optical drives, leaving me with only 2 5.25 bays spare so can't go for that fan solution. I've gone for the nexus mounts you picture above rather than the crappy all rubber ones from the electrical store.
