Hey OcUKers.

I currently have:

2140@ 3.2ghz
Gigabye p35c-ds3r
2gb of xms2
X1950xtx
2x WD AAKS in raid 0.

Ive noticed im starting to struggle on a few games lately running at 1440x900. The worse culprit is Age of Conan atm. What upgrade path would you take and how much of a improvement would i see?

Maybe get a 8800GT to replace the XTX. That should give you a big boost. I know there's a massive difference between my 8800GT in my main rig and my 1900XT in my second rig. I would'nt change anything else as it's a decent rig you have. Nice clock on the E2140 by the way.
 
If your after extra performance in games, upgrading your graphics card will give you the most boost. Take a look at the 8800gts 512mb or maybe wait for the new offerings from ATI and Nvidia in a few months time.

which GPU you should upgrade to is dependent on how much you want to spend, but the 8800GT is fantastic value for money, a complete steal at £106.

Ive been holding off vista till i get 4gb of ram.

How about i get a 8800gt and 4gb of ram now and get a new gfx in say july after the new releases have settled down?
What ram kit would be best suited to my motherboard and have scope for say, a q6600 in the future?

Budget is about £200? dont wanna blow it on a gfx card as the 8800gt sounds ideal to last me a few months till new ati/nvidia series. I almost exclusivly use the pc for gaming:)
