Current setup: Sony 32 inch TV (from 2012) and Polaroid 22 inch TV (haven't measured it but that's what I think it is going by the model number)
I'm toying with the idea of buying a new monitor for my PC (specs are in my signature).
According to the AMD preformance overlay I'm getting around 60 FPS (@1080p) in my games (which I think is limited by my Sony TV as I generally use that for displaying everything. Either that or it is the displayport to HDMI cable I am using).
I don't exactly have a lot of room, and am not really bothered about watching live TV (I only tend to watch that when I'm away from home).
Do monitors now come with built-in speakers? And do they come with HDMI ports? I'm aware of using a HDMI selector (I think is the term?) to add additional inputs for HDMI connections. Failing that I also have a stereo with a HDMI output (and inputs) which can act as a passthrough. However for obvious reasons I don't really want to have everything playing through my stereo (esp when I'm surfing the internet).
Haven't really decided on a budget but can we go for "shoestring"? I'm also not keen on curved monitors.
Just looking for ideas at the moment.
Thanks in advanced.
