Requirements for Autocad 2012 - 2D only?

What sort of spec of card is really needed for decent performance in Autocad 2012 if only using 2D?
Need to spec some PCs for work and they are coming out quite pricey when specced to 'workstation' spec graphics for CAD work.
I am wondering if a more generic AMD/Nvidia Radeon or GTX card would suffice?

I've found the HD 6450 is what you need. It's good enough to hardware accelerate view-ports without lag and with anti-aliasing.

They seem to be reasonably priced cards!
Might at least try one machine with one in and see how it performs before buying any others.
The drawings are electrical circuits so I don't think they are either very big or complicated.

There may be some benefits to hardware acceleration even with 2D viewports. Regardless, the 6450 is basically the cheapest card you can get anyway. It's also sufficient for 3D work.
