While surfing came across the above tip, so l was about to install the latest drivers for my GPU and on broad sound. So l uninstalled the GPU drivers and sound drivers, rebooted into safe mode and ran drive sweeper for both the
GPU + Sound. Rebooted into windows, opened up command prompt[run as administrator] type " winsat formal -restart clean " before i did this i use to get the *white screen* when playing BC2 after upgrading the drivers my GPU, just use
to let the drivers install as recommened by the installer. By running the Windows System Assessment Tool, played BC2 for about 5hrs no white screens and also my Medusa NX 5.1 v2 Surround Headset now works like a dream the sound
quality is in a differant league.

So if your having problems with GPU,etc give it ago.

This is standard Windows Performance test will clean up previous editions **NOT the same as you would run regular WinSAT/Performance Testing** you are telling your windows, I've got better performing drivers or better performing GPU or CPU
overclocked without this no drivers will perform correctly. Which could cause your xfire or Sli set up not to function properly and is also the one thing which has huge affect on drivers, if not completed your hardware might not function
properly Unless you re-run Windows System Assessment Tool. You should consider running this after installation of any driver upgrade or Overclocking of your GPU or CPU, etc.(ATI/NVIDIA/any system driver or overclocking).
Open a command prompt[run as administrator], type " winsat formal -restart clean "

Well hope this helps, have never seen this tip posted before, sorry if its log winded etc, as the original thread was bad. Maybe the more knowledgeable person could shed a bit light on the matter.

Oldphart.
