Hello all.

I am specing up a watercooling setup for my second pc which is all AMD based parts. I am just wondering about my res. I would like to go for the xspc single bay res but I am wondering about the volume as it is only a single bay.
The system will be be going through a d5 pump it will have cpu and gpu and a 360 rad in the loop. Would it be best to spec a larger volume res for this type of setup or does it not have too much relation?
Any advise would be good ta.

The res is only there for a bit of a float to make sure the loop doesnt run dry and for filling the loop. Basically as long as its large enough to feed the pump making sure it doesnt run dry and act as a guide to show any drops in levels it doesnt really matter how large it is, the only benefit of a large res is during filling less top ups and on offs of the pump

Decent advice from people above there:)

One could even use a T-LINE fillport if space is a premium. Size really does not matter in the case of res's as you know they come in all sorts of shapes. The key ..as in tube res' is to eliminate any chance of a vortex happening and easy bleeding of air bubbles.

So essentually quality of construction, no vortex and easy bleeding of air bubbles and actual being able to fit inside your case:P are the essentials when choosing a good res......anything else is a bonus:)

Yeah thanks for that guys and gals. I think I will stick to my single res plan. As I prefer the looks and essie of filling and keeping an eye on the levels.
