I stopped watercooling a few years back and moved to an aircooled mini-itx build but still have everthing kicking around, now looking at going back to watercooling but will need another res and pump top for my old D5. I do have my old top but it was used in conjuction with a tub res that I through out. What do people recommend keeping the size right down?

I have seen the Alphacool Eisdecke are these any good? Are there other similar options?

Cheers.

Need abit more info, what case are you building in first of all?

I've used the D5 variant of this with the pump/res combo and it was a good setup. Can't fault alphacool products, been using them for the past 7 years.

Not sure yet, currently using an Phantelx Evolv ITX which isn't any good for a 45mm 240mm rad or bigger so will be looking to change. Forgetting the case I will still want to use a some type of micro pump/top.

I have the eisdecke or however it's spelt, it's fine but I find it hard to get a seal with the lid, it just doesn't seem to engage the print quite fully.

So eventually water evaporates slowly but surely. I suppose transportation would be an issue also if the loop is full.

D5 is a big big for SFF builds IMO, plus you'd benefit more from head pressure as SFF tube routes are going to be a bit tighter and likely have more adapters. To that end go DDC, much smaller footprint.

I went a little unusual and ordered an Icemancooler DX5. They do a short and long one. It's quite similar to the Heatkiller D5, but cheaper.
Really impressed with the quality.
