Hi,
We have a 2008 conservatory that's stone walls with a tiled floor. It's still in fairly decent condition, except for where the tiles join the walls. There is a gap here 70% the way around the walls that seems an open door for bugs to crawl in
See pics below, the second seems to show where the previous owner has tried to bodge it and it's left marks on the stone. I'm not sure what's in there currently, it's not soft like silicone.

What's a good/clean DIY solution to this? Should I attempt to go around and try and scrape out whatever's in there currently? Or just fill it all in as is? Any tips for getting it out cleanly without damaging anything?
I also have no idea what to use, silicone would probably stain the stone unless i manage to get it on perfect. Would a standard wipe clean caulk work for this? Or does this need a grout?
Thanks a lot
