I'm probably gonna be upgrading to Sandybridge in the next few days and I'm looking to gain some of the expense back by selling my current rig on ebay. There are a few parts I'm looking to buy new to make it a viable gaming PC for the buyer. Here are the specs I'm going to be using:-

Motherboard: DFI LANParty DK-P35-T2RS
CPU: Intel C2D E6400 OC 3.00GHz
GPU: XFX HD5770
PSU: CoolerMaster Real Power 450w
HDD: Hitachi Deskstar 500GB (NEW)
DVD Drive: Samsung SH-S223C 22x DVD-RW (NEW)
Case: Xigmatek Asgard Midi Tower (NEW)

I was thinking £350, the oldest components are 20 months old and the newest about 10 months, so pretty much everything is still under warranty except the CPU which I bought used in the first place.

Basically I was just wondering whether anyone with experience of reselling their rigs on ebay can give me some advice on whether:-

1. It's worth bothering to sell as a whole, instead of splitting up the individual parts
2. The price is realistic
3. To pay for an OS, sell with no OS or use the third option
4. Whether a pre-OC is a good idea, or I should sell it at stock

I could play almost everything at 1080p with playable framerates with this rig so I'm happy to sell it as a proper gaming PC, unlike loads of the other so called 'gaming' rigs up for sale on the bay at a similar price

Anyway, any advice is appreciated :)

We can't talk about prices outside of the members market, but you will get more if you sell individually.

The forum restrictions are confusing lol, what's the members market?

It's strange how it's cheaper to buy the components individually when you're buying, but works out more for you to sell them individually when you're selling.

Part of the issue is not having the mobo box etc to take stuff apart and sell it individually, other than that it'd just be nice to get rid of it all at once. I'm not really willing to miss out on extra cash just to do it that way though.

sometimes you can get more for selling the core components together, cpu, motherboard, ram and then selling the rest separately.
