Reserator 2 + 8800?

Will there be any blocks that will fit on the 8800gtx?

I want to add it to my loop and i think an extra 100 quid for a card with a waterblock is a bit to much.

That looks like a hundred pounds just for a water block though, it doesnt seem to be a complete solution.
I would check for compatability on zalman's own site, that way you will get a difinitive answer.
I would also consider a separate memory cooling unit with an 8800 card, I dont think I would be comfortable with just the heatsinks which (I believe) come with the resV2. Zalman seem to back me up on this as they are releasing a separate water-cooling memory block for gpus.

im not particularly that bothered about overclocking, more quietness. all im bothered about is wether the reserator 2 will not get too hot cooling a core2 and an 8800? its either that or mess about with a full watercooling setup which i really cba with :p

I doubt it will do at all.
Thats a lot of heat to take with a passive setup.
StevenG set up a Thermaltake tower thingy (basicaly the reserator design) on his core2duo and it idled at 61 degrees.
Add a 8800gtx in there too and its not going to cope.

I suspect the Reserator would boil with a 8800 GTX unless you had some active cooling on there.

wont you need 2 blocks?, the ramdac is under the cooler on the gtx so that might need something. tbh that £100 more on the proper watercooled one is worth it as you know its gonna be good

Correct the other chip does need cooling

Well it is not the reserator & is nothing like the reserator 2.

I have +4800 at 2.8 & 2 x1900xtx in crossfire on the reserator with fan kit, 4800 idles at 39-42c & gfx cards at 34-38c
+4800 at stock idles at 30c

I don't know how the Core2Duo chips compared to A64 heatwise, but my 3800+ at 2.75Ghz (1.61v) sits pretty at 29ºC idle.

But I wouldn't like to put an 8800GTX in that loop.
