Reset admin account password?

Guys

I need to reset the admin account password on a Macbook Air where the user and admins don't know the password, this means we can't install printer drivers for a new printer we've purchased, I have the DVD to boot hit 'C' etc but if I reset it does it clear "Key Chain" passwords as well?

That could cause me a whole load of other issues if so?

Hope someone can help?

I believe it only deletes / resets the master account password, which is all you'll need if you want to install drivers
