My pc got pretty messed up by some dodgy drivers for a new motherboard so I decided to put my old one back in and reset the bios and do a fresh install. Reset went fine, my powers on, monitor has signal and mouse and.keyboard power up. I get the bios screen but am unable to press anything. This was normal however even when the pc was working fine, I'd get the initial splash screen, wouldn't be able to press anything, the bios would perform the start up checks and then go back to the initial splash screen. Then I could press for boot menu or bios menu. Unfortunately it's getting stuck on the initial checks now and just says initializing.....any ideas? Help appreciated

After several attempts it randomly worked. Installed Windows again and then during restart had same issue. Again it randomly worked after a few attempts. Any ideas what may be causing this it works atleast but is annoying
