i have received today but find that i cannot access the bios at all, i saw another thread here that shows how to short out the bios on a Toshiba but was wondering if anyone knew how to do it on the Fujitsu Siemens Amilo.

well, stripped laptop and took out bios battery for around 15 odd mins, put back together and still got the same Master bios password needed. :(

pheonix

when i put the battery back in and reboot i press F2 and it goes straight to PheonixBios setup utility - Enter Master Password.

You did make sure the power lead was disconnected and the battery was out of the laptop
as well didn't you? I'm assuming the battery would have been out anyway to take apart the
laptop but the power lead needs to be out as well.

Also try these password see if any work.

Let us know how you get on.

everything disconnected and also tried those, also tried going through debug in command prompt, no good with DOS so couldn't work out how to do Debug from starting in DOS:eek:

i have that and tried all the reset tools on there, i now have the passcode to access the bios, it still asks for it each time you try to enter but at least i can now access it.
