Reset client group policy, Windows 7.

I have removed a machine from a test domain but the group policy is still in effect.

I have tried the following:

secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose

But it doesn't appear to work.

Any ideas?

Not sure if it will work this way round never tried.

gpupdate /force

Nope, I have tried, If I log on locally as the Administrator it is not a problem. It is annoying, no big deal really.

If they are used based policy settings then you could reset the users profile to clear the settings. If their computer based then you could create a new GPO to reset them else you'll need to trawl through the registry to reset them.
