Hi,

I have just built my new system:

I2500K
Gigabyte P67-UD3-B3
Corsair XMS DDR3 4gig
MSI 6850 2gig
Win 7 64bit
Enermax galaxy 1000w
Antec 900 case

When I hit the reset button on case, or choose reset in the start menu. The PC will power down, and 1 second later power back up again. Is this normal behaviour? On all my previous builds, when I hit the reset button the PC stayed powered up.

Another question. Windows 7 Is reserving a lot of my RAM, is this the speedfetch thing, and should I be worried about it in relation to gaming performance?

Thanks for the info

Reset is meant to shutdown then power on the computer, so it is behaving as intended. What do you mean by Windows is reserving RAM and how much of the 4GB is it keeping from you?

You may have wired up the reset/power switch onto the wrong pins or you have the connector on backwards. Read your manual again.
