Hi guys,

On rebuilding my brother's pc after switching the chipset heatsink we are slightly confused as to the colours for the switches. The motherboard manual is slightly unclear as to which colours correspond to which connection.

All but one of the connectors contains a black wire, this is always the negative yeah?

On the reset switch we have blue and white and the motherboard manual states where these plug in but not which way round. The two connections are labelled as "ground" and "reset". Which colour corressponds to which connection

Thanks

I had the same issue but i just though that a switch will just be completing a circuit so it doesn't matter which way around the cables go.

The lights matter but its easy to see if they are wrong as they will be on when they should be off.

Any switch or button, it doesnt matter. The LED's will only work one way around. If it doesnt work, then turn it around. Usually black=Ground.

On my last case (thermaltake armour) the LED would just do the opposite if the wires were the wrong way around.....no idea why.....

trial and error, although ive never got my power light to work on my case, no matter which way round i put it, and now i cba cause its hidden behind so much tubing and cabling and cards. Also, dont really want a blue light on the front, i know when its one cause everything else lights up lol.
