reset Vista license owner information
I cann't think of the right term for this, but it might make more sense if I explain what I want to achieve. First off, I bought a new PC which is now using the windows 7 release candidate, I have windows 7 pre-ordered so that will be installed when it arrives. My old PC is using windows vista ultimate OEM. I am planning to sell this computer while it still has some value, but I don't want the new user to have to use it with it all being registered with my details. What I would hope to be able to do is:
Remove all but one of the hard drives in it (so it would go from having 3 to 1).
Reformat the last drive and do a clean vista install.
Find the most recent drivers and get these along with the vista service packs installed.
Reset the Vista install so the next time its booted, it's like getting a new computer, ie it asks for the owner name, account names to use etc.
Is this possible?
