Now I fully understand that this topic of discussion.. might be deemed slightly dodgy although I have a perfectly good reason for it.

Bear with me...

My Aunt & Uncle (+their 3 children) live in Northolt, I'm in Shropshire.

My uncle was diagnosed with cancer a few months back, unfortunately he lost his battle and passed away just before Christmas.

He was tech guy who worked for a broadcasting company and as a result had his home computer well locked down to stop the kids installing stuff on it!

He unfortunately sufferered a seizure a few weeks before the end and as a result lost most of his memory (and other functions) the rest of the family didn't ask for the Admin password as it was probably the last thing on their mind.

Its his funeral tomorrow, chances are I'll be driving down tonight and would like to try and make their computer accesable once more.

Any help/Advice will be greatly appreciated,

Thanks
John

EDIT - I believe the kids have an account which they access the computer with. So logging into the pc isn't a problem.

Sorry to hear about that.

Depending on how locked down it was, you might just be able to boot into safe mode/default administrator account. F8 on boot.

From there you'll be able to reset the administrator account password or just create a new admin account.
