For reasons unknown my small home network (All PCS running WinXp) has decided to stop for 2 of my computers.
Here is my current setup:
My Computer is connected directly to the Virgin Cable Modem and also the small Hub.
A Desktop PC and a Laptop are then connected through cables to this Hub.
For months the connections have been fine, simply plug in a cable into the Hub, connect it to the PC that is wanting the Internet and away it goes.
Then yesterday the Desktop PC and Laptop just stopped connecting. MSN wouldn't work and neither did the Internet.
HOWEVER the only website that I could access was Google and Internet banking. All other websites refused to load, whilst on my PC the internet was working without a hitch.
Now the only theory I have for it not working is the program 'TuneUp Utilities 2009) as I was using this to speed up my PC, and I'm sure that I allowed it to modify some of my internet settings. This is the only time I can think that anything was modified and since doing it, the network has become unstable.
I've tried messing around with the connection and sadly I just get the 'Local Area Connection 18 - Limited or no Connectivity' in the Tasktray.
Can anyone shed some light on what might have happend, though I'm more than happy to just clear out the network settings and try from fresh, however I am unsure of how to go about doing this.
What's the best way to remove all current network connections and set it up again? Are there any console commands I can use? Programs and so on to help me remove all knowledge of a network and start from the beginning?
Really needing to get this sorted as people aren't happy they can not access the internet.
Thanks in Advance
