Resetting Resolution to 800x600

Is there anyway i can reset the resolution to 800x600 on screen without seeing what im actually doing?....

Basically i have put a 50" Plasma TV onto my pc and i do not have the monitor that i had on there before anymore..... The resolution is set at 1650x1080... But the TV supports a different max res.... Is there any way i can get into safe mode or anything like that and change the normal res back to 800x600 so i can go from there? At the moment, the TV Shows picture upto the Windows Logon Screen (where the res changes from 800x600 to 1650x1080)

start the computer up and tap f8 then select 'enable vga mode' once in you should be able to revert it back.

If i press F8, I get Boot Device Priority :S.. hmmmm will try again

I've got into Safe mode now.... Is there any way i can do it through there?

Edit: No "Start in VGA Mode" Appears in the Boot up Menu... :S... Strange...

only "Safe Mode"
"Safe Mode with networking"
"Last Good Conig.."

are you tapping F8 as the PC boots up? IE press the on button and straight away tap F8. The option should be be there. As far as I know Safe Mode won't let you edit resolutions and refresh rates.

if you can get into safe mode you could try unistalling the drivers and this should take it back to different res. Then boot up normally and re install drivers.

You only get the "VGA mode" option after a failed load of windows. To get this switch off the power as windows starts loading, when you reboot will get the options screen, select VGA mode and you will boot at 800x600 then you can change the res to what you require.

try this

boot up pc
press F8

see option:Enable low resolution video 640x480
choose that and you can then choose what settings you want back in windows.
