Resetting the remote central locking...

The battery has recently died in my key, meaning I could only open my door by actually using the key in the lock and that my central locking didn't work.

I've just bought a new battery and have put it in the key... but the central locking still isn't working. Any ideas how I can reset the key or the central locking so it picks up the key again?

Just tried that with no luck... Also dug out the cars handbook and did the method they suggested in there, still with no luck

The old battery is deffinately dead, the battery light on the fob doesn't light up at all with it in. With the new battery the battery light comes on and stays red for about 30secs then goes out.

I'll try disconnecting the car battery then doing it
