Received a brand new Surface Pro yesterday morning and began installing Windows updates. After 6 hours of trying to install the latest Windows update, I gave up. Windows 10 was reporting that the 128GB built-in SSD was pretty much always under 100% load. Seems odd.

Anyway, at 11:55am today I clicked RESET THIS PC. 3 hours later and I am at "Resetting this PC 76%".

This is surely a hardware defect, right?

You'd probably get better results installing from scratch using USB media (the OS key should be stored in hardware).

Windows 10 is pretty much garbage when it comes to anything involving updates.

Oh, I'd have to agree that a scratch would be better - was reluctant, as this was fresh outta the box yesterday!

I'll hang on for 100%. Should be there by, Tuesday?!
