Resi Evil type games

Has anyone played Cold Fear (the one set on a ship during a bad storm) & the Obscure games? I don't seem to recall any magazines reviewing them, which may mean they're quite dire. They popped up recently whilst I was browsing Amazon, but I don't know much about any of them. Thought I'd ask in here. Feel free to post any screenshots in the hi res thread (if you have them that is

I played Cold Fear a few years back, it's not a bad game IMO

It's worth a play if it's only a couple of £'s (it's 4.99 euros on Steam)

Don't know if I'm on the same track and have the same game in mind but I'm almost certain someone bought me Cold Fear as a birthday presey years ago. I took it back and got Kiss Psycho Circus instead. Good game imo, surreal.

The thing was just above par I felt, enjoyable if you can get past some control issues. I played it on the PS2 mind you. It does actually have a reasonable atmosphere and can get quite creepy.

Kiss Psycho Circus wasn't this based on the Quake 3 engine & in first person perspective?

The Thing Totally forget about this & might just pick it up - only £2 used.

American McGees Alice another 3rd person game using the Quake 3 engine (I think, can't remember)

Not sure which engine Kiss Psycho used but yes, it's an fps.

I suspect it may have been the Quake 3 engine though.

It was on the dreamcast as well so probably was the quake engine.

I like resident evil up to 4 they completley changed the setting, and story line.

Extremely hard, had it on the xbox when it first came out and never finished it. You have to burn the bodies of everything to properly kill it, which means you need to be extremely aware of your flame weapons ammo (which is always in extremely short supply!)

Really good game though

cold fear had some nice visuals with the rocking boat and the splashing waves at the start
