Resident Evil 5 Co-Op

I used to play this game a lot when it was first released for the PC, so much that I could almost remember where literately everything is and 100% completed this.

I might be quite rusty though since I play more of the Gold Edition version on my PS3.

My GFWL username is the same, and if you are still on around 9PM, I'll have a game. Pull an all-nighter, you can easily finish the whole campaign. :D

Awesome, will catch you a bit later Phatjayunoi. :)

I did play through the game once on the Xbox 360 but that was ages ago so I will probably be quite **** myself mate! :p

Will just get some tucker inside me and then I'll be ready.

Look forward to it.

Keyboard and Mouse controls and 60+fps definitely make this game better and actually easier.

Won't be surprised if I get motion sickness after this.

Was going to use the pad, as it's third person, but come to think of it's pretty much an FPS affair. Will have to experiment and see what I prefer. :)

Is this worth a purchase for PC?

I remember playing it a while back over a friends on the Xbox, really enjoyed the co-op.

Do many people play it online? Easy to find matches?

Cheers.

There are still a lot of players for this, but of course, it is much better playing with people you know.

Other than the PC version lacking a few extra modes, offline split-screem and especially the Gold Edition stuff, it is by far the best looking and performing if you have a good system.

The PC version actually has the VS mode on disc. Quick google will show how to unlock it, as I did.

Cheers for a wonderfully fun and frustrating game at the same time Overslop. Didn't think we would actually stay up all night doing the entire campaign, something which I haven't done for this game in a long while.

Since I pretty much play as Sheva exclusively, I always laugh at the QuickTime Events when my partner fails me and lets her die i.e. Chain whipping motorcycle Majini or Wesker on the plane.

Look forward to some Professional Mode games someday. Deaths a plenty. :p

A quick search shows me some Youtube trainer hacks to get it so far. I'll read on more about it when I have the time. Was never too bothered about the Versus modes anyway. Don't know why Capcom never bothered to implement this, or have online multiplayer for the PC exclusive No Mercy mode.

It really is a fun game, and actually quite easy in a way to get the 1000 gamescore for the achievement whores out there. I'll also be glad to help with that if anybody wants to.

I am so tired now, I will probably sleep until 4pm... :/

Was very good indeed though Phatjayunoi. You certainly know this game inside out. We breezed through Veteran mode other than a couple of boss fights and a couple of QTEs. I tried using mouse and keyboard for most of the game but I definitely prefer the pad for this one, especially with the QTEs.

Still one of the best looking and most fun games around. Look forward to playing again someday. :)

I played through it with a mate online on the 360 a few years ago and i thought it was quite enjoyable.
I still would not call it a good game though, there is only fun to be had in co-op with mates imo. I would not be adverse to playing through it again!

I'll be grabbing this once I get my new PC up and running, Loved it on 360. So I'd be interested to see how it plays with mouse and keyboard. And I imagine the visuals are nice.

Downloading it currently, if you want a co-op run through, add me on Steam, i also fancy playing this again on the hardest difficulty.

I like this game because I actually do believe the co-op is fun. It certainly can be marmite for some people though.

Since this is a Capcom game, I find a couple of similarities with something like their Monster Hunter series.

Like those games, it can be incredibly frustrating at times, but then it's also learning the mechanics of the game, to making strategic movements & placements, and exploiting certain animation frames that I tend to enjoy. Plus I get a massive kick out of watching new players making funny mistakes and dying as well. :D

Runs beautifully on a modern well spec'd system. Faster framerate, which could cause some motion sickness, and keyboard & mouse controls does actually make the game a whole lot quicker and easier.

Absolutely loved this when I played it through with a mate sometime last year, although found it a bit glitchy in places - when we completed it he got the achievement for doing so on hardest difficulty but I somehow missed out :/

Still it's good fun to play through again with your upgraded weapons - only issue is a lack of ammo for some of them which limits their use pretty badly!
