Hi,

I know I'm kinda late to the table but I've just got Resi 5 and started playing it. Pretty good so far but one thing is puzzling me.

How do you get Sheva to equip a different weapon?. I bought a shotgun for her and it is in her inventory but I can't work out how to get her to equip it?. Clicking on it in the inventory screen just brings up a "Request" button.

Silly mare is lugging a shotgun around with her but insists on using her handgun.....LOL.

Ta.

When you are at the Inventory screen just before you play a stage, or just access it from the main menu, make sure your AI partner does not have more than one weapon. So in other words, just make sure she has a shotgun, along with enough ammo, herbs or sprays and that is it. The AI is pretty stupid at times which is why I never let her have a handgun if she has a powerful weapon already. OF course, once you unlock unlimited ammo, then it doesn't really matter.

Leave her in an alley to die. Anyone taking handguns over shotguns to fight zombies will only be a burden. Ask any 5 year old - they'll know, as long as their parents haven't welched on their duties to educate their young on survival tactics for a zombie apocalypse.

fun................eee.

I just recently completed this and didn't have any such problems although the AI was pretty stupid at points where it mattered! (like when using an RPG).

Played it through right afterwards with a mate and it was soooo much more fun - I'd get yourself paired up with someone and play it through on Pro ... we used Skype to chat though as the in-game voice chat is rubbish!

i enjoyed resident evil 5 but is anyone else anoyed they took out the local co-op mode for the pc version? yeah i like playing online as much as the next person but random online people steal your ammo and dont talk to you. 2 player split screen is allot more fun. im surprised capcom took this out as they allow 2 players on street fighter iv with 2 360 controllers why not this?

It's easy enough to get a mate with the game online though so there would be little need for the local coop (that would be more for consoles surely?)

One thing I always forgot about was the commands you can issue the AI partner - I mucked about with them a lot on coop as its funny the gestures they make but hardly used it in SP!

Who's everyones favourite character in mercenaries?

Mine would have to be either S.T.A.R.S Wesker or S.T.A.R.S Chris.

Because it still would be nice to have the option for split-screen play and/or if you have Internet connection problems. If the consoles can do it, why not the PC version? And if you have a good spec PC, it could also be great indicator for the game's performance seeing as it runs exceptionally well in the first place.

Not only the lack of offline split-screen play, but the lack of extra multiplayer modes like Versus. And why couldn't the PC version's exclusive No Mercy mode be online as well? It would have made it more fun. Also it would have been nice if the enemy spawning was completely randomised instead of being fixed in number and where they appear in the Story mode, make them dynamic like in Mercenaries or even the game's benchmark tool.

I really do enjoy the game, but Capcom could have done a lot more with the PC version. With the Alternative Edition coming as a DLC for the consoles, hopefully it will be the same for the PC and with some extra changes.
