Well as there hasn't been a lot of talk or Info about the game so I thought I would start a list of things I would like to see.

1st off is a bit of a return to the survival horror genre and less action. More puzzles and things to get your head round. I know it has been hinted at this is the direction it's going. Even tho not many people liked 6 and in some respects I agree but the Leon campaign was great. More of this please.

Billy! What ever happened to billy from Zero? We got introduced to a new character but as far as I remember he has never been mentioned in any game after.

I like the idea of simplifying the viruses as they are starting to get silly with all the different variants. That said I do like the idea of them being controlled like the uruoborus virus.

Wesker! Come on! He is a cool baddie. I would love a chance to play as him.

Random zombie generator. Now this is something I would love to see. Playing advanced warfare made me think it could be quite easily be implemented. Get a load of different head skins, body sizes, ages, races and gender. Then add tops, bottoms, shoes etc you get the picture. Behaviour and transformations could also be included. This way you could have a few play throws with a very minor chance of seeing the same zombies twice making it feel more realistic and organic.

Biiiig baddies like the insect thingy at the end of the Leon campaign in RE6, the nemesis, tyrants (big ones from the cg movie) and even ones that have to be killed in stages.

Anyway there are a few changes that would change things up. What else?

I'm not very familiar with anything after the 4th one since I didn't really like them so I didn't play 'em much!

All I can say really is that I'd love the series to go back to more survival horror instead of just shooting anything that moves.

I like the idea of the random zombie thing, that could be pretty cool if they did it properly.

They also need to reduce the level of the voice acting back to how it was in the original :D

They lost me after the fifth one tbh. They killed the franchise and doubt it will be revived imo

I don't know.. there was some great elements of 6 but it just went ott with some of the action but it was being built up to that since 4 as it seemed a lot of the shift in gameplay trends were moving towards the more COD twitch/action shooter.

I enjoyed Leon's campaign in RE6, the others I couldn't get into.

I would like something similar to RE:HD, a nice remake of RE2 would be epic :D.

I think the story of Resident Evil has become a bit too much like the Saw franchise. Gone off on a tangent and got confused along the way.

The Las Plaga stuff, what did they have to do with Zombies, it seemed like a terrible tacked on idea because they couldn't think of any more Zombie related story line to go along side the T / G virus.

^This.

At this stage I would prefer either a reboot or a RE2 remake. The last few releases have been very poor and with the release of REmake doing well surely it should so Capcom that we want the old school Resi back.

I agree a reboot/remake of 2 would be great but its going over old ground. I have a feeling that most of the people that purchased the REMake were people like me that loved the original and continued to love it through the years rather than the new wave of gameplayers. The problem is that from Capcoms point of view the games that they are producing are selling in droves (RE5 and 6 are ranked 1 and 3 of the best selling Capcom games of all time) But I can see a decline in sales if the next game doesn't offer something new or a change of direction.

Its a shame. Hopefully someone will look at the success of the P.T demo thingy and realise that people still want slow-burning horror games.

I agree but was it mainly because it was a slow burning horror or a jumpy scary game?

I also wonder if they will ever be having a cameo or a game with Alice from the movies in it? She is a badass!

HAHAHA... Well I don't think they are that bad. There is a lot of content from the games that are in there. Yes they are not Oscar winners and they all have plot holes you can drive a bus through but they are fun. The last 2 have been particularly good on the action front. Cant really expect much more from a Movie based on a game about Zombies. ;)

Yes, best direction they could go is to remake 2/3/CV. Then while they are doing that brainstorm some ideas for 7. I think a reboot (which has been hinted) would be terrible as it has one of the best casts of characters in a series, even despite the awfully cheesy voice acting of the early games, they managed to make the characters likeable, mostly through atmosphere and the struggle you face, and then built on that with better voice overs etc.

Going back to the fixed camera angle could help them immensely, I think that change alone would generate massive hype and get a big interest in the game, and get them more sales than 5/6 did. 4 Was pretty good despite being more of an action RPG/TPS than anything, 5 and 6 weren't looked at so well by the majority so there must be something different between 4 and 5/6 they should look into. Also bring back Sheva, such a lovely character.

The first two movies were decent but the rest are pretty poor. It's a shame they didn't go with the Romero script :(
