Hey,

Just a few quick questions:

1. Anyone know if they work ok on Vista 64 or Windows 7 64 bit.

2. Are they better than the versions on the gamecube since I have a cube too, not sure which one to get them on?

3. Do they work on the 360 pad ?

(by better - I mean graphics, and does one have more extras than the other).

Thanks :)

Gamecube has all the best RE although I think the PS2 version of RE3 had something extra (cant remember now).

I really do want someone to remake them perfectly but with better GFX

Has that been done before? With any game I mean. Sorry to go off thread slightly, you made me think though, that this is maybe a great direction for new, (PC of course :p) games to go. Remakes of old classics, like say RE1 and 2, remade exactly the same, like they do with films, except for better controls and graphics. Saying that though are remakes of films ever as good.:( Just a thought though. ;)

Resident Evil one was remade on the gamecube and it rocked!

All they did was update the GFX a notch. The basics of the gameplay in resident evil are great. Yes I can see why they updated the gamestyle, but in all honesty I just love the old Resident Evils for what they are.

Better choice of camera angles is all they need to do to improve them. If they had spent the budget of the last one on making you jump and your heart race more but in the old style of game then perfect!

It really is a damn shame Resident Evil 2, 3 and maybe even Code Veronica didn't get remade for the GameCube, but instead of just getting simple ports of the original games.

Resident Evil 2, being pretty much the most popular of the classic games, could have looked awesome and really give the little purple box a boost in sales. Seriously though, this game still screams for a remake by some people.

They did more than update the GFX.

The remake had new areas (under the stairs in the mansion) and a log cabin outside through the graveyard. It had a new boss and I am sure there were other things that were changed too.

If you didn't burn the zombies bodies after killing them, they came back as running ones. Pretty sure that was new. I managed to mess it up, miss all the weapons and be faced with 5 corridors of running zombies between me and my goal. Need to give it another go one of these days.
