Resizing An Existing Partition On A Single Hard Drive

i highly recommend partition magic never had any problems with it in the 2 or 3yrs ive been using it although as with everything make sure you back up just in case
 
As above really, the best thing there is for partitioning. If Windows is already installed and you want to install Linux alongside it, then most linux distro's come with all the partitioning tools you would need anyway, so you may not need Partition Magic.

Just make sure there is nothing that will try to boot (floppy, external storage) before Partion Magic, I nuked a partition that way. Recovered it easily mind, but it's not a fun experience.

But a good program if you aren't an idiot :rolleyes:
