Right folks! The scores have been reset so who's up for a challenge?

Here are the rules:

-Start on experienced and go for a high score.

-If you get a high score then post in here to let people know and I'll update this post with the current leader.

-Erm...that's it really.

Yeah, I noticed. I loaded it up for a look but haven't had a serious go at setting a score yet. I thought I'd let someone else do the honours. :D

Edit: For some reason my ipad is adding a space into your psn name. I'll need to sort that out on the pc tomorrow.

Edit 2: Made the line shorter and for some reason it's dropped it...weird!

If we could add a table for the 2 new modes that would be good. They are much shorter game modes.

I've not tried any of the new modes but I'll have a look later and we can set something up.
 
Thought I'd knock out an easy 50 mil earlier but my god the game is so much harder after the patch. I finished the game and only managed 30 mil.

The Phobos has been nerfed big time, I couldn't hold my multi past level 1 and humans were dying all over the place.

I've went from being okay at the game to sucking big time.
 
Yeah rp, the timing has all changed compared to how it used to be and now that the waves fly off after a while I kept going back to shoot things, finding there was nothing there and losing my multi.
 
I'll add the scores for the other modes to the OP later. Had a go on Demolition last night when I got fed up with Arcade and it seems like fun.

I also had a look online and my suspicions were confirmed - theY have gimped the Phobos. It was always slow but the gun power and overdrive made up for it. Now it's just slow with a mediocre weapon. Methinks I'll have to switch ships.

I was thinking about hoarding the humans earlier but I've not managed to get anywhere near it yet.

God knows how the guy at the top of the leaderboard had 500 odd mil. I think there's some trick involving boosting through groups of enemies but I don't know what it is.

Before the patch I'd have said go with the Phobos weapon but it's been nerfed significantly and doesn't have the power advantage it used to have over the other weapons. Nemesis is easy mode due to the guided missiles and the majority of the high scores on the leaderboards are from people using the Nemesis.

Custom ships are part of the update whereas the new game modes are from the heroes expansion.

Don't get killed, keep your multi at 10, save many humans as possible, don't use bombs unless absolutely necessary and fire your overdrive as soon as it charges (most of the time).

Thats about it really. There are more advanced techniques but they are beyond my skill level just now.
 
I just fired this up to see what was happening and noticed Hecarim's score on experienced is at 207 million.

How is that even possible?
