Resolution and aspect ratio question.

What gives a better picture for a 1680x1050 widescreen resolution on an LCD?

16:9 or 16:10 or 4:3?

I'm not sure which is the best.

4:3 is standard non widescreen TV AR
16:9 is widescreen in TVs eg 1900x1080 (1080p)
16:10 is widescreen Computer monitors eg 1680*1050 or 1920*1200

i hope ive got them round the correct way.

So you should be using 16:10 for your monitor.

some TVs now do 16:10 i think but thats not relevant for you
