Resolution Changer on Netbook

Hello,
When I had the default installation of Windows XP on my netbook, I could change the resolution to 1024 x 768 which was a resolution bigger than the screen size but it allowed me to scroll around and therefore see more than normally allowed.

I have since installed Windows 7 on it and installed all the appropriate drivers and utilities that Asus have for Windows 7 from their support site but I can no longer switch to that higher resolution and get the scroll around thingy.

Any ideas how I can re enable that?

I have an Intel driver installed that allows me to do that on my NC10, no need for any drivers from the manufacturer even though they do offer some. Might be worth checking the Intel site for their drivers.
