Dumb Question #742098

OK, apologies if this is really dumb, but I'm confused (easily done I know).

If I were to buy a 24" Monitor, say the 2407WFP, the maximum resolution is 1920x1200. This would allow an output of HD quality, based on HD been 1080. Correct?

So how come the Yusmart 32" is advertised as a HD capable TV, yet it's resolution is 1366x768? Surely that's 312 pixels short of HD? Does this therefore mean that if I were to plug my PC into the TV, that the maximum resolution would be 1366x768 ?

720p is also HD, and that requires 720 horizontal lines. 768 > 720, quod ego dico :p

Yes, the 2407 allows 1080p video (with small horizontal borders), but getting 1080p fed into it can be problematic. If you've got an unprotected 1080p video streamed through the DVI or VGA then you're good to go, through component things get sticky.
