Strange,
but asking anyhow... IF I have a 1920x1080 24" 16:9 dell and wanted to run at ****x1024 - what would be the ****? [edit] - just played with a 23" that allowed 1600x1024.
I'm looking at the feasibility of a [edit model number] 24" Dell P2412H at 1920x1080 for most applications on a day to day basis and dropping down the res to allow for the odd game where I might fire up a couple of 19" 1280x1024 screens either side in eyefinity.
Having seen a Dell 3007wfp @ 2560 x 1600 + and 2 Dell 2007FP @ 1600 x 1200
PLP set up online and realising that I can't even attempt that, primarily due to cash
and the hacking that is involved in eyefinity PLP - I've been looking for a smaller 'side' view monitor to match and compliment a nice 24" center screen.
I've located a Dell 4:3 19" that is near as damn it the same height as the 24", so all three can run landscape (within a couple of mm's)... big centre screen and some added immersion with side screens, the resolution is a little lower than 1080, so the GPU will love me a little more than making it do 3 x Dell 24"
Just an experiment - afterall gaming at HD is most peoples goal, but I've been living with 1280x1024 for the last few years... the possibility of (guess) 4160x1024 seems fun at a cheap punt... so what's the catch?
