Resolution issue

When i turned on my computer this morning the resolution was screwed it was back on default 800 x 600 instead of my normal 1680 x 1050 resolution. So i go to change it back and the max option have have is 1600 x 1200, so i reinstalled the drivers and still my max res was 1600 x 1200. I have even justt reinstalled vista and the problem is still there.

Anyone got any ideas what the problem might be?

Is it using a none generic driver? What is the refresh rate set to?

I am using the offical drivers from the ati website and the refresh rate is at 75hertz

odd sounds like a driver issue ... whats the max resolution of the monitor ........... alls I'm thinking is mines 1440x900 and thats as high as it will go so it might be a monitor issue somehow \o/
