Resolution problem with new GTX 460

So I've just received my new MSI GTX 640 1GB/OC and installed the latest driver (260.99) having uninstalled my previous ATI drivers.

The problem I'm experiencing is trying to set the proper analogue resolution for my widescreen Samsung T190 (19") monitor. The native resolution is 1440x900 but the graphics card defaults to 1600x1200 which is unsatisfactory.
If I select the 1440x900 resolution (which isn't default) that is listed, the screen places a large black border around the destop.

Ive tried various solutions such as uninstalling the driver and reinstalling. I've also tried installing the proprietary MSI driver (which isn't 260.99) but that doesn't even list the 1440x900 option.

Has anyone had any trouble with NVidia drivers and resolutons no being supported? Any suggested fixes?

Cheers

I had this exact problem that was eventually fixed in the drivers. Does it not work forcing 1440x900 in nvidia control panel?

Nope. It just looks a bit blurred and I get a "not optimal resolution 1440x900 60Hz" message being displayed.

I didn't have this problem with my previous card (HD4850) so it suggests that the latest NVidia driver doesn't support this resolution.

I had this exact problem

What card/driver/monitor are you using?
