resolution with my 4870

hi guys

i just finished building my new pc and now i have a little prob with the resolution

system:

e8400
powercolor 1GB HD4870
gigabyte ep45-ud3l
(....)

i have a fujitsu siemems 22' screen with 1680*1050. i have used that res with a different pc it works. the problem is that the resolution i want (1680*1050) just wont show up in the settings (catalyst control center v2008.0820.2135(...) ).

Is there any monitor specific driver that you havent installed

did the drivers install correctly.

I had a simlar thing with mine. I could only get 1600x1200. Try reinstalling the drivers.

Yeah, as above. Doesnt look like the drivers have installed correctly!

What does it say in the information centre?

change the refresh rate to 60.. the monitor probably can't do 1680 at 75hz
