Resolving stability Issues with GTX 280

For anyone who is interested. When I first got my GTX 280 I was getting the odd crash after about 3 hours... I have managed to resolve this.

The card has one 8 pin and one 6 pin power requirement.

My 8 pin is connected to the MB so I just had 2 6 pins...

The converters in the box were :

2 x 6 pin to 8 pin and

2 x molex to 6 pin.

I used the first one to create the 8 pin but to cut down the wires I used my own 1 molex to 8 pin converter.

Since switching to the 2 molex to one 6 pin - no crashes...

Im guessing when they get going these guys are thirsty beasts :)

Hope this helps anyone else who may have issues.
