i have got 4 hard drives in 1 cage at the moment, i was wandering if there is a easy way to silence them? or to at least stop that noise as starting to drive me mental

thanks :)

What do you mean you have no room in the 5.25 bays? You have a 900? Surely all you need to do is remove the HDD cage/s and then you'll have free 5.25 bays, no?

One of my HD's does this, kind of a pulsing vibration which stops as soon as you touch the case.

It used to be in my brothers PC and did the same thing.

I was thinking of putting them in an enclosure like in the link above.

my bad, yeh i got 3 hard drives in the bottom and 1 in the top

so i don't have any 5.25 drive bays now for sure

and it turns out it was my stock cpu cooler....

thanks guys

Yes, but what I am saying is that you can remove the HDD cages and suspend the HDDs in the now freed up open bays. ;)
