Rest my little cat :(

I had to do the same thing with my cat right before xmas, she had the same problem as Flossy, pretty extensive lymphoma. I'm still gutted and know what you're going through.

The worst bit is that I hear sounds in the flat and turn expecting to see her doing something silly, I walk in the door in a cautious way so I don't hit her with the door or let her run out even though she isn't there, I've even called out to her without thinking a few times but she isn't there to come running :( I still haven't brought myself to put her things like bowls or litter tray away.

Sucks big time, you have my utmost sympathy!

I know its hard, woke up one morning 2 years ago to see a text from my mam saying my cat had been put down because of tumours. Had her for 16 years.

Keep your head up and keep yourself busy. Sure everyone here will talk if you need it.

Just remember the good memories.

Things will get a bit easier if you put her things away bud!

Some mornings im making breakfast and can feel the feeling around my legs when Smokey used to rub herself against my legs. Definitely feels like somethings there.

Does you good to have a good cry fella, let it all out.

Hard losing a pet, they have unconditional love for you and are never judgemental. I've got 4 dogs and 3 cats love them all to bits on the sly.

Hope it gets easier over time for you m8

RIP Flossy.

Sorry for your loss Gerard, from what you wrote in the op Flossy wanted for nothing and letting him go was the most selfless/kindest act you could have done.

Sorry to here that mate, my cats just had a operation to remove a tumour so its fingers crossed time. Non-cat people just don't understand how much there missed when they go :(

Sorry to read about Flossy. I had to have my gentle little cat Lucy put to sleep in September. It's easily the worst thing I've ever had to do.
We still think we hear her and see her but after almost 17 years she left a big gap in our lives.
R.I.P. Flossy

Had the same sort of thing with Dog. (Yes, he was a cat.)
Cancer got him in the end. We tried Chemotherapy and it worked for a while but the big C got him in the end.
He actually chose me when we went to see some kittens.
15 when he went, 2 years ago, and I still miss that damn cat.
Your loss is felt by all cat lovers. Or should I say all pet lovers.

RIP Pussy.

Eyes are running now. Must have something in them.

I hate that anybody has to go through the pain of losing a pet. I lost a dog of eleven years some months ago, but having her as a companion for that time was easily worth the pain of her death. Still miss her like crazy, though.
