Rest my little cat :(

RIP little fella :(

We have lost 2 cats in the last 6 months one took to the vets after she was unwell and the other which some  person hit with their car and left in the road for a neighbour to find

Thanks for the comments everyone, conked out on my bed earlier with a busting headache and only woke up a couple of Hours ago.

We have 2 other Cats and a Dog but the House now seems strangely empty without him here. Usually when i was on the PC he'd suddenly hop onto my Knee, of the Three he was the only one that would ever do that. I know im going to find myself expecting that to happen then realise it can't happen.

Its something we all have to face, but its strange how a little Cat or Dog can literally tear your Heart out when they go. Have to go upto the Vets tomorrow to collect the Cat Carrier and his Collar and Blanket, so im sure that wll start the Tears flowing again. We're having him cremated as well so we'll probably get the Ashes sometime this week. :(

I Feel very lucky not to have experienced this and just reading half of these storys is making me a little teary.

Once again R.I.P little guy.

Had to take my Cat to the vets today after a lump was found on his underside. They opened him up and found multiple Lymph Node Cancers in and around the Bowel area. Ended up Euthanising him while he was still under from the Operation.

Got the news just after 1pm and my eyes havn't dried since, close to choking at one point i was taking it so badly.

Its almost like he knew the end was coming as last night he seemed to take it in turn to sit on everyones knee. Which was something he normally wouldn't do as he was pretty anti social with everyone but me. He was my Cat from day one since i was the one who brought him home.

He spent a good deal of time with me last night, just wish today when we brought him to the Vets that i had taken him out of the Carrier to give him one last hug. He's the second longest pet ive owned, almost 11 years. I had a dog before that lasted 14 years, but this just seems to hit harder as our dog "Bingo" was a Family Pet whereas "Flossy" was my pet. Bingo went because of Cancer and now Flossy.

Can only hope now he's found some peace as he had to be in some Pain, and he had lost a lot of weight over the Months due to constant vomiting amd diahorrea. Though as selfish as it sounds id give anything for one more day with him. Tears have just started again as i type this.

Rest in Peace my wee man.

really gutted for you fella, I know how close ya can get to a cat and anyone talking about a dog just doesn't know how close you can be to a moggy, especially if you've been with it since it was wee. Worst thing is you keep looking about expecting the cat to be there and then you once again realise it'll never be there again and you feel even more ****. Really gutted for you fella.....hope you remember the good times more than the last day :(

Had the same sort of thing with Dog. (Yes, he was a cat.)
Cancer got him in the end. We tried Chemotherapy and it worked for a while but the big C got him in the end.
He actually chose me when we went to see some kittens.
15 when he went, 2 years ago, and I still miss that damn cat.
Your loss is felt by all cat lovers. Or should I say all pet lovers.

RIP Pussy.

Eyes are running now. Must have something in them.

yeah ...dusty in my house just now too reading this thread....dam dust....:o

My cat passed away yesterday afternoon, I was with him for the last few hours, He was 17 and we will miss his so much.
RIP Arnie....

sorry to hear that fella...as was said before, people who love and know cats know just how much they mean to their owner.

Dogs are just so different to cats with blind loyalty but cats are a bit more fickle about who they get close too, hence a different bond between a cat and it's owner as opposed to a dog and it's owner.

Sorry to hear about your loss Gerard.

I lost my cat nearly 7 years ago after having him for 15 years. One day he stopped eating then over a period of a couple of days he lost loads of weight, lost his sight and coordination. I spent the last few hours of his life lying on the floor with him next to me. The whole time he leaned agains't my chest purring as if nothing was wrong.

I couldn't bring myself to have another pet after Henry.

RIP Flossy :(

R.I.P Flossy :(

I've lost two cats and a dog (also called Flossy actually) since I was a kid and no matter how much you grow up, it still hurts like hell when you lose one :(

Poor little guy - as others have said, at least he's not in any more pain
