Restarts in COD4 Overclock gone bad

Was playing COD4 and got screen lockup, had to restart

Then windows reboots with high pitched whine and freezes

I took overclock off and restarted, everything ok, bam restart

any ideas?

my temps seem normal when I check. overclock has been fine for over 1 year at 2.8ghz. anyway, i managed to type this before it freezes.

Been up for 10mins, so it guess it was the overclock

Sounds like something is breaking down...... could be a stick of RAM or something overheating ? Could be a build up of dirt or a filter/fan clogged restricting airflow ?

Try removing one of your sticks of RAM (if your able too run the board on 1 stick) and see if it restarts , then do the same with the other stick in on its own .......

Could be anything really
