Restaurant in Keswick?

Booked to go to Keswick this weekend with the wife for Valentines day. The Friday night we get a meal at the hotel (looks fantastic)

Can anyone reccommend or suggest anywhere to eat on the Saturday? Don't really have a set idea on what type of food yet.

The Dog & Gun do a cracking authentic Goulash. They're dog friendly which may or may not put you off.

Stayed there in the summer and though we did not eat there, numerous locals recommended Morrels.

If you don't mind a bit of a drive the scafell hotel used to be superb.

I was in the Scafell Hotel bar in November and the food wasn't as good as it used to be, still ok though. The Langstrath Inn further down the valley is really good though.

Not quite romantic but more of a pub - go to the George hotel and try the cow pie
